Today I'm gonna share a music I've listened and loved since I was a child: "Sutta 'n velu". It's a sicilian song in which a poor woman has been abused by a man, and carries on her pregnancy in spite of her anger, with shame, hiding her sense of guilt "Sutta 'n velu" (under a veil).
It's a lovely marriage of words and music written by the Siracusan musician +Carlo Muratori , who incidentally has been my first guitar teacher.
The original song has been performed with the Siracusan folk group "I Cilliri". Here I'm sharing an interesting version with theorbo and solo female voice.
