One of the things I'm mostly worried about of Italy, AT ALL LEVELS, from the single worker to the President of Council, is STRATEGY. Everything we do, why do we do it? What is the nearest outcome? What is the strategy (long term outcome)?
In a global competition, everything we work for needs to have one, and one alone, target: strenghten the position of the activity we are responsible of. Otherwise, we are wasting time. For this, everyone must (should) have a strategy. Rarely, in Italy, I can see a strategy. For example, in selling companies like ST, ENI, etc... what is the strategy of the Italian government? I'm only been told "this way we have a cash of 10-12 Billion Euros." But this is not a strategy. This is an emergency act of a desperate government. I'd like to see a strategy. Is the strategy "Italy will slowly decrease its public debt through gradually selling everything"? Is this a way of having a vision for Italy's future?
Are we kiddin'?
I'm continuing hammering on this point, in Italian or English, it doesn't matter, because I'm tired of this lack of strategy at all levels, in Italy.
Actually, I've seen some sort of political strategy in one man. The President of the Republic, Mr. Napolitano. He's 88. Great future. Wow.
